Answers before you book
Here are the biggest things most renters want to know before reserving.
What is included with a kayak or paddle board rental?
Watercraft rentals include the kayak or paddle board, paddle, PFD/life jacket, and safety whistle. Pick-up may also include universal soft roof rack pads or a truck bed extender when appropriate.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Watercraft delivery is available to listed local delivery spots for $25. Custom local delivery to camps, cabins, campgrounds, homes, Airbnbs, or nearby launch spots may be possible, but must be confirmed by Outdoor Odyssey before booking.
How much does it cost to rent a kayak or paddle board?
Single kayaks and stand-up paddle boards start at $30 for 2 hours. Angler kayaks and angler paddle boards start at $35. Tandem kayaks start at $40.
Is there a security deposit?
A $100 refundable security deposit/card authorization may be required per watercraft before equipment release. This is not intended as an extra rental charge. It may be used to cover loss, late return, missing equipment, or damage beyond normal wear. Holds are released after return and inspection when no charges apply, but exact timing may depend on the card issuer or payment processor.
Do I need prior experience?
No. The kayaks and paddle boards are beginner-friendly, and basic safety information is provided. If you are unsure what to rent, call or text before booking.
Can I cancel or modify my booking?
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the rental start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made 24–48 hours before the rental start time are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental start time, same-day cancellations, and no-shows are not eligible for a refund. Rental changes are subject to availability.
What happens if the weather is unsafe?
If weather or water conditions are unsafe, Outdoor Odyssey may offer rescheduling, store credit, or a refund at our discretion. Light rain, cloudy weather, cooler temperatures, or a change in personal plans do not automatically qualify as unsafe weather.
